Michael Berzon
Michael Berzon, based in the US, has provided consulting services to various global businesses including International Truck & Engine Corp., Crompton Corp (chemicals), Nippon Express, Panalpina, Andrew Corporation (electronic equipment), Ecogreen (bulk oils) and Sterling Diagnostic Imaging. During 27 years with DuPont, Michael purchased and administered international ocean transportation services, international trade facilitation and supply chain rationalization. He was responsible for shipments of a wide variety of dangerous goods. He worked in the global air, ocean, including chartering, and ground arenas. Prior to that, he held positions in international marketing in Latin America.
David Cairns
David Cairns, based in the UK, has held senior management roles with Tibbett & Britten Group plc, the leading British contract logistics and warehousing group with operations in 35 countries, from 1988 to 2004. As Development Director of Tibbett & Britten Group for Europe/Mainland Europe, he was responsible for acquisition assessment; strengthening business in emerging Eastern European market. David’s 30+-year experience includes supply chain solution development and review and the assessment of distribution centre operations and design.
David Charlesworth
David Charlesworth’s career has been associated with the provision of maritime intensive supply chains and liner management. An early background as a business economist broadened into managerial roles in sales and marketing, commercial management and container equipment operations. He has specialist knowledge of operations in Europe, Middle East, South Asia and Australia/New Zealand. As European Business Development Director for P&O Nedlloyd Logistics he worked extensively in the provision and design of international door to door supply chains for many leading retail and industrial companies. Latterly as the Director for Global Sales Development at P&O Nedlloyd, he was responsible for the application and development of e-commerce trading.
Philip Damas
Philip Damas worked for CMA CGM and the container shipping consortium Cobra in various management and financial control roles until 1990. He then spent the 1990s analysing the logistics policies of exporters/importers and of logistics service providers when working with American Shipper and Containerisation International. Philip then became a founding director of the shipping research and database company ComPairData and has worked with Drewry since 2005, advising exporters and other companies and setting up industry benchmarks on container freight rates and carrier service reliability.
Wayne R. Schmidt
Wayne R. Schmidt, based in the USA has nearly 40 years of Senior Management experience in the ocean carrier, forwarding, 3PL, and NVOCC industries. During his transportation and logistics career he has served as President of Votainer Consolidation Services, Inc., CargoTrans International Inc. and BDP Transport LLC. His hands-on experience encompasses managerial, commercial and operational assignments in over 80 countries on 6 continents. He has particular expertise in contract negotiations, labour relations (ILA), corporate re-organizations/downsizing and analysis of port/intermodal solutions.
Abhishek Tandon
Abhishek Tandon has recently joined Drewry as a part of the consultancy team in India. He has diverse experience in the shipping & logistics industry. He was part of corporate planning and strategy implementation team of a major container liner company for South Asia region. Abhishek gained his MBA. in marketing from Pune University and has a Diploma in Foreign Trade. He has extensive experience in developing Industry and competitor analysis reports.
